While at school at the University of Alabama I became interested in photography and worked for the school newspaper and United Press International (while they were still a news organization). It was so much fun that I decided at graduation to look for a job in journalism instead of international business. Of all things I started out with a summer internship at The Anniston Star. Then that fall was hired at The Alabama Journal/Montgomery Advertiser. I spent a great 7 years there covering sports, government, and news. Then it was time to end a marraige and make a move. I didn't go far and was hired at The Huntsville Times in 1997. I really love Huntsville, especially the climate and that it is close to home. Here I met my new husband, Steve Doyle, who is a writer at the paper. We were married by Laura Carr Wind, a classmate of ours, this summer. And unfortunatly we will be on our honeymoon in Italy the weekend of the reunion. I am sorry that I won't be able to make it.
