After graduation I attended Samford University in Birmingham, AL. I had a LOT of fun, but still managed to graduate in 1988 with a degree in Public Administration. While in college, I met Allan Dickson, a student at Birmingham-Southern College, and we married after he graduated in 1989. We lived in Huntsville, AL, then moved to South Carolina in December of 1989. We moved to Darlington, SC, in 1992, had two children and have been here since. Allan died in 1999 after being very sick for several years. I was a stay at home mom (who'd have thought!!) from 1995 until I started working part-time in 2001. I now am the Business Development Officer for a local bank, Mutual Savings Bank. My kids seem to do a good bit of everything so they keep me running - it's football season, so we've got football and cheerleading. My parents moved to Darlington after my husband died and that has been our silver lining - my children have gotten to grow up close to their grandparents. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and catching up!
